With a changing world comes changing education. IBS College of TVET will introduce two new programs in 2025: the Dual Qualification Program and the Blended Learning Program. These programs give students and professionals the flexibility, affordability, and practical skills needed for today’s job market.

What is the Dual Qualification Program?

The Dual Qualification Program is a special opportunity just for Certificate IV in Accounting students. This program lets students earn two qualifications through one structured course.

  • Certificate IV in Accounting
  • MYOB Accounting Certification

MYOB Accounting software is already included in the Certificate IV Accounting program to give the basic knowledge. However, when the students join the MYOB Training program (with dual qualification program) they can receive advanced knowledge in MYOB with more practical insights.

Normally, students pay K1,000 for a separate MYOB Accounting Certification. But with the Dual Qualification Program, they get MYOB training as part of their Certificate IV in Accounting for just K500. This makes quality education more affordable and accessible.

What are the Benefits?

  1. Practical Hands-On Training  – This program isn’t just about theory; students will gain real-world accounting software skills that employers highly value.
  1. Improved Employability  – Graduates will walk into job interviews with both a recognized accounting qualification and a software certification, which will be added to their Resumes.
  1. Cost Savings  – Getting two qualifications at a discounted rate helps students get the best value for their money.

Additionally, MYOB Accounting training is open to the working class as well. For those already in the workforce looking to refine their skills, this presents an excellent opportunity to upskill and advance in their careers.

What is the Blended Learning Program?

The Blended Learning Program at IBS College of TVET introduces a new level of flexibility for students. It is divided into two batches, catering to different student needs:

Batch 1 – A Hybrid Learning Model

Students in Batch 1 can choose how they want to attend their classes:

  1. Physical Attendance  – Students can come to campus and attend classes in person.
  1. Live Online Sessions  – Those who cannot make it to campus for any reason can join the same classes via live video conferencing, with the lecturer delivering the lecture for physical students as well as online students at the same time.
  1. Recorded Sessions  – If students miss a session, they can catch up by watching the recorded lectures at a time that suits them.

With this approach, no student should fall behind due to personal or logistical challenges.

Batch 2 – Learning for the Working Class & Parents

From Batch 2 onwards, this program is extended to remote provinces and the working class.

  1. They can either join live physical classrooms via video conferencing or learn from recorded lecture videos.(Synchronous or asynchronous)
  1. Working professionals can access recorded live-streamed sessions after work, allowing them to study at their own pace.
  1. Stay-at-home parents interested in furthering their education can now learn from home without disrupting their daily responsibilities.

Technology-Driven Learning Experience

IBS College of TVET manages all aspects of learning, including student registrations, enrollments, and study materials, through its ERP system.  Learning resources are also available on the LMS (Learning Management System), giving students an easy-to-use digital learning platform.
