IBS College of TVET successfully hosted a guest lecture on HIV & AIDS Awareness on Wednesday, 20th May 2026, to support key concepts within the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) module.

The session engaged Batch II students enrolled in Certificate 3 and 4 programmes in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, and Information Technology.

Dr. Muthu Prabha Venkitachalam, Guidance Counsellor and Head of Student Affairs at IBSUniversity, delivered the lecture by providing valuable insights into HIV & AIDS awareness, prevention, and the importance of maintaining a safe and responsible lifestyle.

The session was designed to deepen students’ understanding of HIV and AIDS, highlighting its relevance not only to workplace safety but also to personal health and responsible decision-making. By integrating this important topic into their studies, students are better equipped to make informed choices that contribute positively to both their personal wellbeing and professional conduct.

The guest lecture was coordinated by Mr. Gutuma Gima, Academic Coordinator at IBS College of TVET, whose efforts ensured a well-organized and impactful learning experience.
